Feather and Fan Scarf
(This pattern is in the book, Simply Scarves)

A traditional pattern stitch, but so elegant in a laceweight yarn. Feather and Fan consists of simple yarn overs in combination with K2tog decreases forming the fans. Another "easier to knit than it looks" pattern!

Scarf measures approximately 10" wide by 72" long. Knitted on US #8 (5mm) needles with 2 skeins of Kid Seta from Cascade Yarns (25 grams, 230 yards; 70% Kid Mohair, 30% Silk).

Although any yarn will work, it's the lace weight kid mohair blend that gives it the light-as-air look and feel. Knitted with a bulky textured yarn it would be an entirely different scarf. Pattern includes detailed instructions on how to adjust for different gauges and different widths.
