Roses
and Diamonds Stocking is a wonderfully complex design that incorporates not only
intarsia knitting, but embroidery embellishment as well. The cuff is faced to make a
sturdy border and the leaves and outlines of the diamonds are embroidered to give the
stocking an almost three-dimensional effect. 
The stocking was
knitted with a 50/50 blend of llama and wool in gorgeous gem tones of Old Gold, Dark
Emerald, warm Rusty Brown, Royal Purple and Plum.
