The Santa Barbara Knitting Studio Holly and Poinsettia Hats
Two whimsical hats for babies and children. A simple rolled-edge cap is adorned with either holly leaves and berries or poinsettia petals. The leaves are knitted separately and sewn on. The berries are bobbles and the gold poinsettia center is embroidered with French Knots. Pattern is written for worsted weight yarn. Gauge is 5 sts per inch on US Size 7 (4.5mm) needles. The pattern is written for 3 sizes - Newborn (15"); 6-12 months (16.5") and 2-3 years (18"). The models are knitted with Cascade Yarn Company's "Cascade 220, 100% Peruvian Wool (hand washable).
