The
Santa Barbara Knitting Studio Four Simple Designer Pillows and Throws
The second two are knit together log-cabin style, all in garter stitch. Begin with a center square and work each rectangle or triangle from the side of the previous piece. Pattern is written for 16" square pillows and three sizes of throws or afghans - 48" by 48", 48" by 60" and 48" by 66". It includes finishing techniques and suggestions for the pillows and the throw instructions include garter stitch borders which are sewn on, i-cord edging which is attached as it's knit, and a simple single crochet border.

Knit in three to five
different textures and colors, these four designs are easy to knit. They each use only one
color per row. The first two are simply stripes - stockinette stitch, seed stitch and
garter stitch. One is done straight, the other on the diagonal, increasing each end to the
right size, then decreasing each end.
Written
for worsted weight yarns, gauges vary from 3-3/4 to 5 sts per inch.
