Vertical Striped Short Sleeve Top

This simple top is a wonderful melange of incredible colors and textures, and it's so easy to knit! It's worked sideways from cuff to cuff in narrow stripes to produce a very flattering effect. The only sewing is the side and underarm seams! Change yarns every 2 to 6 rows randomly - and don't even worry about matching left to right! The cuffs are knit as part of the body and the waistband and neckband are picked up and knit in ribbing after the seaming is done.
Work in stockinette and garter stitch for a very stunning effect - it's really much less work than it looks like, and you'll get rave reviews!
Finished Sizes - 40", 44", 48", with instructions for adjusting not only fullness, but length. Sport weight yarns, approximately 1,100 to 1,300 yards of assorted textures and colors - bits and pieces can be worked in very effectively.
Gauge is 4½ sts per inch on US Size 7 (4.5mm) needles Pattern Price - $4.95

Kits are available in the following colorways, or they may be special ordered in a favorite colorway. Kits include some or all of 11 different summery yarns in cotton, cotton blends and novelties, ribbons, metallics and chenille, with enough yarn to make the largest size sweater. All yarn is wound into center-pull balls and is ready to knit.
